What
is ADSL?
ADSL, or Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line,
is a very affordable, very fast method of accessing the Internet.
ADSL technology uses
the existing copper pair wiring found in almost every office
and home. Special hardware attached to both the user end
and the switch
end allows data transmission rates over the wire at far
greater speed than the standard phone wiring. Although ADSL uses
the
existing
copper pair wiring, it does not tie up your phone line
and thus allows constant access to the Internet and to your E-mail

hours
a day, 7 days a week.

How fast
is ADSL?
The type of ADSL service available in our market is “asymmetric”,
meaning the upload and download speeds are asymmetric,
or uneven. The
download speed
typically ranges from 256KB per second to 1.5MB per second.
Uploading
typically
ranges from 144KB per second to 896KB per second.

- Wireless
ADSL modem. Allows you to connect to the internet from
almost anywhere in your home, without dragging wires all
over the floor.

can also lease the modem for $5/mo.
